Simon Hill’s Cacao Raspberry Porridge

(Serves 1)

1/2 cup rolled oats (dry)
1 cup fortified unsweetened almond milk
1 tbsp raw cacao powder
1 tsp flaxseeds (linseeds)
½ cup frozen or fresh raspberries
1 tsp maple syrup


  1. Place the oats and almond milk in a saucepan over medium heat, cover with a lid and cook for a few minutes, until they start to bubble.
  2. Once they have bubbled, stir in the cacao and protein powder and cook until the water is almost absorbed but still creamy.  If you overcook the oats and they look dry, add 1 tbsp water or plant milk to make them creamier.
  3. To serve, transfer the oats to a bowl and top with raspberries, maple syrup, and flaxseeds.
